Scarce: New CD Coming – UK Tour Starting – East Coast Tour Too
Posted by Lynnster on October 6, 2009
Yeah, so I’m really late posting these but (as most know) I’ve been on a bit of a summer hiatus. Oops.
The great news is Scarce has been in the studio much of the summer putting together tracks for an upcoming new CD release that, last I heard, is going to be called I Don’t Like You (brilliant title!). (EDIT: Whoops, in going over some old notes and emails, the CD may actually be called No One Likes You… but that one’s hilariously brilliant too. I love them both! Heh.)
I’ve already had the fabulous opportunity to hear an early cut of the track “Stupid in a Cup” (another brilliant title, god I just love a clever song or CD title and clever band names) and it just totally rocks. It’s kinda something like a cross between the Pixies and AC/DC (that was Joyce’s description) and something else to me that I haven’t quite figured out who yet, but it’s pure Scarce and purely divine. I am soooo looking forward to this CD coming out!
For those in the UK, Scarce is about to hit your shores with a quick tour and you really really really must go see ‘em. Not only that, but the new Scarce documentary is going to be shown several places while they’re over yonder, and there’s also a couple of East Coast dates scheduled for late October. Here’s some dates for shows and documentary showings:

- October 14 2009 – 07:30 PM – Night and Day Cafe – 26 Oldham Street/Northern Quarter, Manchester, M1 1JN – 8.50

Scarce Documentary Showings + Gigs:

- October 17 2009 – 07:30 PM – The Luminaire – London, London and South East – 10 pounds
- October 21 2009 – 11:00 PM – Joe’s Pub at the Public Theater – 425 Lafayette Street, New York, New York – $10
Go, go, go if you can! These are going to be great shows and I’m dying to see the documentary myself so if you have a chance to go, don’t miss out.
